I’ve spent the first five years of my career helping people live better and more fulfilling lives as an orthopedic physical therapist. My greatest strength as a healthcare provider is empathizing with my patients and listening to their pain paints, motivations, and goals. By asking the right questions through interviewing, I often determined the source of the problem, potential solutions, and possible barriers before ever needing to perform a physical examination. I believe there is immeasurable value in understanding & building rapport with people.
My passion for analyzing complex problems and testing/retesting solutions led me to pursue further education in User Experience. Throughout my learning experience, I really enjoyed the research aspect of UX, and found that my strengths in interviewing patients very seamlessly transferred to user interviews. My unique healthcare management background brings the perfect mix of empathy and business acumen to my UX practice. I am flexible and detail-oriented with strong time management, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary communication skills.
When I’m not hard at work, you can find me spending time with my wife and dog Zoey, practicing yoga and meditation, attending Crossfit classes, planning my next travel adventure, or scouting out new vegetarian restaurants.
